Stephen
Brint, MD, FACS
Dr.
Stephen F. Brint enjoys an international reputation
as a LASIK pioneer, and for good reason. He was the
first surgeon to perform the LASIK procedure in the
United States. In addition, he travels the world instructing
and training ophthalmologists far and wide on the
latest advancements in laser vision correction.
He
is, in fact, the author of the definitive textbook
used to educate and teach eye surgeons about LASIK.
He has also authored a consumer's guide to LASIK,
entitled "The Laser Vision Breakthrough in which
he addresses important patient questions about the
procedure, and how to find the best laser center and
surgeon.
As,
literally, the first LASIK surgeon in the US, Dr.
Brint has successfully completed more that 15,000
LASIK procedures. Respected worldwide as an authority
on eye surgery, Dr. Brint has been named to every
edition of Best Doctors in America.
Though
much can be said about his leadership in the field
of laser vision correction, he made a very personal
statement about how strongly he believes in the procedure,
when he became one of the first doctors in America
to have LASIK performed on his own eyes.
